In development

The Prestwick Robotics & Automation Centre

A working centre where UK businesses can see robots operating in real conditions, run pilots, train their people and find the right partner: the home of our integration business.

The centre is at concept stage. Site, partners and timing are still being developed. We welcome conversations with prospective partners.

Three zones

  1. 1

    Front of house

A public-facing space to see robotics in everyday use, with visitor and schools programmes.

  2. 2

    Demonstration floor

Working demonstration bays where businesses can see equipment on realistic tasks and run pilots.

  3. 3

    Workshop & supply chain

Back-of-house spares, servicing, training and import operations that keep installations running.

Programmes

Schools & skills

An open-door STEM programme for schools, and practical training for technicians and operators.

Pilots & research

Live pilot sites and data for university and industry partners.

UK maker programme

Helping UK robotics start-ups and spin-outs find their first real pilot customers.

Who the centre is for

Anchor partners

Airport, councils, public agencies and universities shaping the centre and its programmes.

Supplier partners

International and UK robot makers seeking a UK showroom, accredited engineers and qualified leads.

Adopter members

Logistics, e-commerce and manufacturing businesses wanting demonstrations, pilots and procurement support.

Academic partners

Research teams and students looking for live pilot sites and real operating data.

UK makers

Early-stage companies that need a place to prove their technology with real users.

How the centre will grow

  1. Phase 0

Airport presence, a first working demonstration, first school visits and university conversations.

  2. Phase 1

A dedicated unit with a demonstration floor, membership programme and paid training.

  3. Phase 2

The full three-zone centre, a training academy and a UK maker accelerator.

Phasing is indicative and depends on site, partner and funding decisions still being made.
